Been down here for a few days now. Wow, is all I can say. The atmosphere the first couple of days has been excitement combined with nervousness. The rain has been pouring down and everyone was worried we would not be able to go out in the evening to see the farm workers. Just our luck though! The sky cleared up and we were able to make it to the Gibbs Patrick Farm. I worked in the foot care station and holy cow! Seeing all these feet that were in really bad condition was shocking. We gave all of our anti-fungal cream away. I hope it will help them out. It was really fun seeing everyone working together in the camp to help as many of the farm workers as we could. Getting ready to head out tonight to an H2A camp where I will be checking Glucose and Hemoglobin.
Being down here I see how lucky I am to have the life that I have.
