Here’s a basic rundown of the past two days … We’ve just begun our work on the Farmworker Family Health Program 2013.
- TA Patty Kinsey enjoys peach ice cream at Dickey’s Farm, our halfway point to Moultrie.
- Dr. Judith Wold, everyone’s favorite Georgia peach. This is the Farmworker Family Health Program’s 20th year – and she started it!
- A rusty Ford truck – we’re getting rural!
- Volunteer Medical Interpreter Mary Micikas
- We arrived at the Ellenton Health Clinic, which services migrant farmworkers year-round.
- BSN student Cherry Truong stays hydrated in the Moultrie heat.
- BSN student Andrew Park has his scrubs and is ready to roll.
- Our dinner at the Colquitt County Arts Center was hosted by the women’s service league of Moultrie
- The mayor thanked us for coming, and also thanked the farm workers, “who put this food on our tables.” Then he agreed to take a photo with me!
- The Moultrie water tower at sunset.
